Dear Parents and carers
The Government’s timeline for partial and gradual re-opening of schools has been updated on the Department for Education’s website and has had much coverage in the media in the last few days. In developing the Duke’s Aldridge Academy re-opening plan we are clear that the safety and wellbeing of our students and staff is of paramount importance to us. Nationally and locally our Trust is listening to the views of other key external stakeholders and we are considering their views carefully as we proceed.
We are currently developing our detailed re-opening plan and, subject to changes to or additional guidance being published by the Government in the meantime, we expect to communicate this to parents, carers and students via our usual channels on Friday 29th May. As local and national information and Government guidance changes, we will continue to review and update our plan accordingly, and let you know of any changes as soon as possible.
