NFL at the Tottenham Stadium

It’s been a really busy week this week at Duke’s; NFL returned to Spurs and Duke’s students have been getting in on all the action.

On Monday students from De la Salle School in California visited Duke’s for an intensive ‘touch football’ experience as part of their current UK tour. Students got to experience the ins and outs of American Football and a cultural exchange took place with students from the American High school fully immersing our students in the mechanics of NFL.

Then on Tuesday the sporting experience continued with the Chocago Bears Mini-Monsters working with our year 7 students alongside a number of local primary schools. Again the day was fun packed and fast paced with our students benefiting enormously from the exchange and really getting stuck in with the game. 

To top the week off a lucky group of year 7 and 8 students who had received a high number of positive points got to take part in a tour of the Tottenham stadium – going into the NFL changing rooms as well as the Tottenham facilities. They also got very close to the pitch!

Huge thanks to Mr Green and the PE team, Ms Bailey and the year 7 team alongside Ms Sayer and Mr Geniris who accompanied the group of students to the stadium. What a week! We’re looking forward to continuing to see our partnership with Spurs and the NFL grow.
