Letter to Parents re School Closure – 19.03.2020

19th March 2020
Dear Parents/Carers
Following the Government’s decision to close schools until further notice, we are putting a number of practices in place during these exceptional times.
As all examinations for Year 11 have been cancelled by the Government due to the COVID-19 measures with immediate effect, Year 11 have finished their schooling.
  • Friday 20th March 2020 – will be the last day for Year 11. I will be posting home a letter to Year 11 students and parents.
  • Friday 20th March 2020 – will be the last day of term for students in Years 7 – 10.
The Academy will remain open for its own students who are children of key workers and where supervision at home is not possible from Monday 23rd March 2020.
A final letter for this term and arrangements for students learning from home will be published here on our website on Friday 20th March.
I will of course update you on any new developments as they happen.
I wish you all the best in these difficult times. Stay positive.

Cornovirus Update Letter – 04.03.2020

4 March 2020

Dear Parent/Carer

As you will be aware the government continues to update its advice regarding the COVID -19 (coronavirus) outbreak. As a school, we are planning for a range of eventualities and continue to follow government guidance to protect students, staff and visitors. At present the school continues to run as normal, with all timetabled activities, including lessons, extra-curricular activities and trips taking place as planned. We are reviewing government guidelines daily and will be in touch with parents/carers if the guidance changes significantly.

In the meantime, we have shared the appropriate government guidance with all students and visitors to the site and would ask that you familiarise yourselves with it in order to keep our school community as safe as possible.

Thank you for your continued support.

Yours sincerely,
