Dukes Aldridge Academy is celebrating unparalleled success in this year’s GCSE results. In many of the subjects, the class of 2022 has outperformed the class of 2019, the last time any external examinations were sat. Subjects performing particularly well were English where 65% of students achieved a Grade 9-4 an increase of 9%; Mathematics where 70% of students achieved a Grade 9-4 an increase of 7%; Biology, Chemistry, Physics, French, Spanish, Geography, Drama, Computer Science, Design Technology, Food Technology, Health and Social Care, Photography and Textiles all achieved a 100% pass rate. Alongside some strong subject performances were some remarkable individual performances, in particular, Josnet Maselo who achieved the highest grade possible a Grade 9 in all of her subjects.
Principal Monica Duncan said: “These results reflect the hard work and dedication of our Year 11 students and we congratulate them all, we extend our sincere thanks to our staff for the unstinting effort and commitment they have shown and to our parent/carer(s) for the ongoing support that they have given to their children and our staff.”
