Congratulations to all our students with outstanding results, some of them shown in the photograph below.
Our headline results for Progress 8 in 2015 (the new national measure) confirm that students at NPCS make excellent progress, well above national averages, during their 5 years at NPCS. Despite the increased challenge which has been added to GCSE exams, the proportion of students attaining 5+ A*-C grades (including English & Maths) has remained steady at 40% compared to last year and re‑marking of some students results may improve this further.
Special congratulations go to Abu-Bakker MAZHAR (6x A*, 5x A), Anil DOGAN (5x A*, 8x A), Intisar MOALIN (5x A*, 6x A), and James NGUYEN (4x A*, 5x A).
Congratulations to the further maths group where two thirds of students (15 students) achieved excellent A* or A grades..
Special mention also goes to Hanad ELMI and Shuqin WANG. Hanad started his UK schooling at NPCS as recently as September 2014 but worked very hard to achieve 7 A*-C grades, including an A in Maths. Shuqin joined NPCS in Year 8. She had moved to the UK from China and at the time was unable to communicate in English but nevertheless has achieved 5 A*-C grades, including an A* in Textiles and an A in Maths.
We wish all our students every success as they now move on to further and higher education, building on their successes so far, including those students who, through Northumberland Park’s links, have won scholarships for post sixteen education to prestigious Independent Schools:
Anil Dogan – Christ’s Hospital
Intisar Moalin – Royal Hospital
Jennifer Chu – Royal Hospital
Rin Ngyuen – Dulwich College
Chloe Webster – Eastbourne College
Christian Cocha Guerra – Wymondham College
