Linklaters Employability Programme
We are delighted to have kicked off our partnership with Linklaters again this year with the year 10 employability programme. A group of year 10 students have been selected to take part in this fantastic series of workshops and events centred around futures and careers. Linklaters are a hugely important part of life at Duke’s and we have big plans for the year ahead with all students getting the opportunity to work with them and expand their careers horizons.
Year 11 Cambridge Trip – Week 2
This week a second group of students visited Cambridge university with the LAET.
During the visit students were exposed to a variety of careers to which study in Physics can lead into and the range of practical problems that physics can be used to solve.
Students interacted between active scientific researchers and Cambridge students. This helped students to make informed decisions about career and examination choices, which is a vital component in encouraging the next generation of scientists.
Students also were able to see student accommodation and the student life of living in Cambridge. Students had an enjoyable day and this was a valuable experience for them. A brilliant experience all round.
