Good News from Duke’s – 6th March 2025

It’s been a busy week this week at Duke’s. Our annual Book Week celebrations were fantastic with assemblies delivered by the English department and a wonderful parade of characters on World Book Day (Thursday 6th March). A huge number of creative costumes were on display from both staff and students.

We’ve also marked International Women’s Day this year with student assemblies delivered by Ms Scoggins along with a staff celebration on Friday 7th March. Happy International Women’s Day one and all!

Royal Albert Hall Cluster Rehearsal

Ahead of the Royal Albert Hall performance on the 18th March our school choir joined with local primary schools this week to rehearse songs and performances. The event was a great success and all the students really enjoyed themselves. We’re all very excited about the final performance – we’ll be sure to share lots of pictures of that when it happens!

Football Success

Huge congratulations to the year 9 football team who secured an impressive 7-1 victory against Heartlands School. This win has earned the team a spot in the semi-finals – they are now aiming to win the league for a consecutive year!
