Students from Northumberland Park were given a master class in coaching for the new Spurs Manager, Andre Villas Boas (AVB). AVB through the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation coaches gave students 1-2-1 support and advice on how to improve their football skills. Year 9 students couldn’t believe their luck when AVB also watched them romp home a 4-2 victory against Gladesmore Secondary School. One young player in particular caught the eye of the Manager; Kimarne Johnson was singled out for determination, focus and skill. Kimarne said “Andre told me I was man of the match and a good team player as well as defender. Hopefully this could lead to something more”.
The Tottenham Foundation delivers ‘Kickz’ programme on the Astroturf every Thursday & Friday at 6pm.
