Students from NPCS win ‘GB Young Entrepreneurs Competition-2013’

We were competing against two other teams from Gladesmore and Norbury manor.  The day consisted of two activities. Each group were working in individual rooms. The first task was to decorate the room creating posters and showcasing their products. Then groups of business professionals walked around the areas and the teams had to entice them into their rooms. Hidden within these groups of business professionals were the judges, so it was very important to impress each and every person they came across.

The second task was to deliver their pitch in front of everyone. The boys did very well, we added role play where Tyrell asked one of the judges for their phone and explained how with the Bleep Finder she would never be able to lose it or anything else.  We also added that the Bleep Finder would even help find your husband, and this had everyone in stitches. The boys spoke loudly, clearly and remembered all the information. The advert had a great response and the judges said it was very creative.

I specifically told the boys to negotiate any offer that was made, and not to give away 50% of the business. Like one of the other teams had done already, only 49% as this means they would still have the upper hand. They did exactly this and explained this to the judges. Everyone was very impressed.

The judges said ANTIKS were confident, passionate and very creative.

We are now the winners of GB Young Entrepreneurs Competition 2013, and will be competing in the European Young Entrepreneurs Competition in Brussel in December and get a chance to meet the Royal family.

Everyone I spoke to really were impressed and said we’ve got a very strong chance of winning and going to NEW YORK!
